Video: full Guest Marketing tutorial.
What you need
- A Superb Partner account with access to Settings
- Guest Marketing enabled on your account by Superb support, if the Activate button is not visible
Open Guest Marketing
Guest Marketing is in your Partner account settings.
- Open the left-hand side menu from your dashboard.
- Click Settings.
- Go to Marketing and Communication.
- Click Guest Marketing.
Activate Guest Marketing
Activation is a four-step flow: start activation, enrol existing guests, set future enrolment, then confirm.
- Go to Settings → Marketing and Communication → Guest Marketing.
- Click Activate.
If the Activate button is not visible, contact Superb support. Guest Marketing has to be enabled on your account before you can activate it.
Enrol existing guests
During activation, choose what happens to the guests already in your guest book.
- Enrol all existing guests to start with the largest possible audience
- If you are migrating from another provider, ask Superb support to upload your previous guest book
- If you have no existing contacts, this choice does not affect your setup
Set how future guests are enrolled
During activation, choose how new guests are added to Guest Marketing.
- Enrol all future guests automatically — every new guest is added to Guest Marketing. This grows your audience fastest.
- Enrol guests manually — new guests are not added automatically. You choose who to enrol.
Review the cost and confirm activation
The last activation screen shows what you get and what you pay.
- Review the cost estimate on the page. The first 1,000 contacts in your guest book are free and paid by Superb.
- Click Continue.
- On the confirmation screen, review the number of contacts in your guest book, what is included in the plan, and your sender details.
- Click Submit to activate Guest Marketing.
Sender details are fixed: the sender name is your restaurant name, and the sender email is yourrestaurantname@marketingemails.superbexperience.com.
Turn on automatic campaigns
Automatic campaigns are triggered by guest behaviour and keep running once activated. All four automatic campaigns can be active at the same time, and each one works independently.
- 24-hour campaign — sent 24 hours after the guest's last visit. Use it to ask for reviews on Google or TripAdvisor.
- 7-day campaign — sent one week after the guest's last visit. Use it for gift cards, sister restaurant locations, and special offers.
- 3-month campaign (win-back) — sent three months after the guest's last visit. Use it for an updated menu, a new drinks or wine list, and seasonal changes.
- Regular guest campaign — triggered when a guest makes their third visit. Use it to welcome the guest to your regulars club, with weekday promotions or perks.
Send a one-off campaign
One-off campaigns are sent manually to a segment you choose. The One-Off Campaigns section lists the campaigns you are sending and the campaigns you have already sent.
To save time, copy your master campaign template so the logo, brand colours, images, and footers only have to be set up once.
An unsubscribe option is included at the bottom of every marketing email and cannot be removed.
Reuse a campaign you have already sent
Copying a sent campaign lets you send the same email to your guests without rebuilding it.
- Open the sent campaign.
- Click Copy campaign.
- Choose the guest segment.
- Click the airplane icon to send.
Choose a guest segment
Guest segments update automatically as guests visit, subscribe, and unsubscribe. A guest becomes eligible for Guest Marketing campaigns once they have at least one visit registered in Superb.
- All Guests — your entire guest book
- Irregular Guests — guests who have not visited for three months or more
- VIP Segment — guests marked with the VIP star
- Regular Guests — guests with more than three visits
- Newsletter Subscribers — guests who opted in during online booking
Because segments update automatically, the recipient count differs from campaign to campaign.
Send a test campaign
Test emails are sent to the email address listed under Restaurant Information. Contact Superb support to have test emails sent to a different address.
Track campaign performance
Guest Marketing Insights shows how your campaigns perform.
- Click View Analytics on a campaign.
- Review the metrics: Delivery Rate, Open Rate, Click Rate, and Conversion Rate (bookings generated by your campaigns).
- Filter by a specific campaign to see individual results.
- Select a custom date range to compare performance month by month.
Guest Marketing pricing
Guest Marketing is charged per contact per month. The first 1,000 contacts are paid by Superb. Above 1,000 contacts, the price per contact per month is:
- DKK 0.29
- GBP 0.03
- NOK 0.46
- SEK 0.44
- EUR 0.039
You are charged only for active contacts who can receive campaigns.
When you activate Guest Marketing, it runs for that billing month and you are charged for the full month. You can activate Guest Marketing during slower periods and deactivate it during peak seasons when the restaurant is already at full capacity.
Change enrolment after activation
Enrolment settings stay editable after activation.
- Go to Settings → Marketing and Communication → Guest Marketing.
- Enrol existing guests who were not added during activation.
- Turn automatic enrolment of new guests on or off.
Deactivate Guest Marketing
Deactivating Guest Marketing stops all marketing activity.
- Go to Settings → Marketing and Communication → Guest Marketing.
- Click Deactivate.
- Read the confirmation prompt and confirm to deactivate, or cancel to keep Guest Marketing active.
